This isn't something we have control over, it's just not something that can be done with Apple's iCloud service at this time. Unfortunately, iCloud doesn't let you share data with a different Apple ID. I wanted to reiterate that Apple's Family Sharing feature allows you to share purchased apps, but not the data you've entered in those apps. Hi sorry for any confusion about all that! Thightower's answers are spot-on and I'm glad he was able to help clear that up. We went with the family sharing option as well so we could share purchases, music, movies with each of us and the kids too. The wife and I moved away from a shared ID a long time ago. IMHO its far easier to go with the Safer alternatives which provide the flexibility you need. If the both of you used the same apps it could get comical or down right infuriating depending on your give mood that day. For example Tweetbot and time line syncing, or the Copied app and clipping syncing. Trying to do that poses other issues such as not being able to have your own app settings for other apps that use iCloud. Especially how Apple has geared it to each user by tying things like iMessage to the specific user etc. It is something that can be accomplished, with some effort, but I suspect you would disable it very quickly. Its very unlikely you share the same ID with your wife.

If it ever becomes available you can bet the staff will looks into if its an option. iCloud sync will only work for you as Apple has not made any methods for different users to share data through CloudKit. Unfortunately that doesn't allow you share vaults. Family sharing you did was to share purchases from within your iCloud IDs.
